Ke‘alohi International Piano Competition Final Round

The triennial Ke’alohi International Piano Competition has been created by its parent organization, Aloha International Piano Festival, with the hope of inspiring and engaging the local community, while gracing the international stage in Hawaii with world-class piano playing.

Previously, it seemed an impossible goal to create – in a state widely known for its hula, ukulele and beaches – a major world-class international piano competition on par with existing prominent competitions around the world.  In June 2022, the inaugural Ke’alohi International Piano Competition achieved this far-reaching goal. In the Hawaiian language, Ke’alohi means “brightest star”.

It is said that this brightest star can only be seen during a certain time of the year.  Through the Ke’alohi International Piano Competition, we will discover a bright star who will share their artistry and shine in beautiful Hawaii.  Over $30,000 in cash prizes will be awarded and the three finalists will perform a complete concerto with the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra for the final round.

*Tickets for this concert are sold online or through the HSO Box Office. For additional information, please call the HSO Box Office at (808) 380-7720, T-F between 10 am - 2 pm.

Cody Jinks & Ward Davis–Some Kind of Crazy Acoustic Tour

Cody Jinks has always built his career on his own terms. Drawing on his unique musical background—growing up near Fort Worth, Texas, he cut his teeth in bars and honky-tonks as well as the influential local metal scene— Jinks learned to disrupt the status quo with an industrious, do-it-yourself approach.

Dubbed by Wide Open Country as "one of the most beloved and successful independent voices in country music,” Jinks has amassed a loyal fanbase, having sold over 2 million tickets to date. He’s also released ten full-length albums that regularly chart near the top of Billboard Country and Independent albums charts and have staying power, to the tune of 4 billion streams across platforms and eight songs certified Platinum or Gold, led by the double-platinum success of “Loud and Heavy.” In recognition of this hard work, Jinks was named Music Row’s 2023 Independent Artist of the Year—the second time he’s received this honor.

Out March 22, 2024 - his new album Change The Game reflects the notion that the rewards from working hard are great, especially when you’re staying true to your beliefs and vision. The album also marks a new chapter for Jinks, one driven by personal and professional growth.
